.971 Subtractor Synth: Hard Scrabble

I've been listening to Underworld's "Barking" album, practically on auto-repeat, for the last few days. Their albums tend to do that to me, get lodged in my brain and require repeat listenings again and again, until something finally gets satiated and I move on to something else.

One of the things that I really enjoy about "Barking" is the use of non-traditional sounds in percussive elements, such as blips and synth stabs in place of hi-hats or snares. Today's patch is inspired by some of those same sounds, a quick chime that could fit a number of different roles. Still, it's not quite a percussive tone, so I'm still categorizing this as a synth.
