Reason 6's new Pulveriser effect seems specially built to add a little extra "oomph" to sounds. Or, at least, every time I try to create a new patch for it, that's the effect I get. Today's patch, Overcooked, is no exception and its title gives away its basic sound. Slap this Pulveriser patch over just about any sound, from a drum loop to a synth, and it comes out sounded a little hotter and more aggressive than the sound you had going in.
I created Overcooked while running several drum loops through a Dr. OctoRex and as a result, it works great with a number of rhythm elements. To my ears, it sounds equally useful for kick drums and hi-hats, so don't be shy testing it in a variety of different situations.
