Sorry about the delay. I think I have all the issues ironed out at this point, but I'll admit I also have a strong urge to start monkeying around again, so I may mess things up pretty soon. Enjoy the patch while you can (kidding... sort of).
As promised yesterday, during my "Technical Difficulties" post, today's patch is an effect Combinator, much in the same spirit as Interesting or Veiled. While all three Combinators give instruments a dreamy, somewhat vague sound that is best used with pads or atmospheric sounds, Campfire maintains an "upfront" sound, due to its parallel processing, splitting its signal into two paths (one clean and the other drenched in vibrato and delay), then merging them again for additional reverb and compression processing.
The effect can actually be fairly subtle, depending on what you're using it on, as you'll hear in the RNS file. Already airy and lush, Lustral isn't hugely affected by Campfire, but the default settings on the Combi are fairly light. Use the Combi controls to really beef up the effect, if its appropriate to your project or song.
- Campfire ( Combinator | RNS File )
I thought I had already shared the Scream setting used in this Combinator, Subtle Tubes, but going through my files I couldn't find it. So, in addition to Campfire, you also get a new Scream setting today. Download it here.
