A few
days ago, I wrote that when I start putting together a new patch, I usually have a vague goal in mind to create something that is either musical in tone or something more suited to providing ambience in a track. And, for the most part, that's true. However, once in a while, I fine tune a new patch until its more of a percussion sound than either a synth or pad sound. That's the case with today's patch, a noise that I imagine a praying mantis making while singing, which could be used as a percussive element.
If you live in the United States, you know that today is Election Day. Please get out and do your civic duty. I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, that's your job to figure out, but it is important you participate in your government. We don't get that opportunity very often, so don't pass this one up.
