.9 Tape Flutter
I actually stole this one from one of my favorite blogs, Waveformless. In this post, Tom describes how to use Logic's Tape Delay plug-in to imitate that Boards of Canada analog tape sound.
The patch below (created for the RV7000) doesn't sound as nice as Tom's Logic patch, but it has its own charms, especially when used on pads. Background synths and vocal samples also benefit from using this patch. I haven't tried it myself, but this might be a good Send Effect, if you plan to use it on a number of elements in a song.
An audio sample of the effect can be heard here. The sample was created using the Just Above The Static patch provided on September 25th. As before, the signal is provided clean, then modified halfway through the sound loop with the effect.
